I live with the issues Beyond Blue stands for everyday...

My name is Callie Le Roux; I have been employed by MAN Trucks in South Africa & Australia as a Truck Sales Executive for over14 Years, and have been supplying MAN Trucks in Australia for the last 8 Years. Apart from my career, I have been involved in various volunteer activities such as a Surf Life saver and Surf Lifesaving patrol Captain at Nobby Beach, Gold Coast. I have also worked for the Manly Coast Guard and Surf Life Saving Operations JET Rescue Boat for approximately 5 years.

I am a single dad and have raised two children myself, so I know how tough things can get and how it sometimes feels like life and its challenges can knock you down. My passion is to help people from all walks of life regardless of background, age or gender. I have also been deeply involved in the 'Lights on the Hill' Trucking Memorial charity for the past 4 years. My most resent achievement was establishing 'TWO MAN CAN' , which involved myself and a friend / customer walking the Kokoda Track in December 2016, with full backpack (96 Km’s) through the Papua New Guinea rainforests to raise funds for this foundation / memorial.

I live with the issues Beyond Blue stands for everyday; both in my private and work life, through the people I meet and know. I believe that each and every person on this planet can make a difference and contribute to a better future for themselves and the people around them if we are willing to put ourselves out there and walk the extra mile. Seeing the best in people and helping them realise their potential is my motivation.

Desert MAN Can is about ordinary people doing extraordinary things to help strangers improve their mental health and to try and save the lives of people in need. I want to make a difference and not just live a life without meaning. I challenge myself to be the best that I can be, not to take life for granted, and be thankful for the opportunities given to me. Making a difference is what drives me forward.

Stewart is an adventurer through-and-through

Having enjoyed countless adventures over the last 40 years; Stewart is an adventurer through-and-through.

Growing up in Victoria, Stewart spent many of his days on four-wheel driving trips to Central and Northern Australia and to locations in and around Ballarat in the Grampians region of Victoria. These early days fostered an interest in the outdoors which lead to numerous adventurous experiences throughout his life.

Stewart was presented the Gold Award by Prince Philip at Government House after successfully completing the Duke of Edinburgh International Award - an internationally recognised program for young people, building their skills to equip them for life and work. Stewart has also participated in many activities including kayak endurance races, hiking/trekking adventures, four-wheel driving competitions and Queensland rally championships.

Personally, Stewart’s interests include four-wheel driving, fishing, camping, boating, hiking, scuba diving, motorbike enduro riding and prospecting. What he ultimately enjoys however are adventurous expeditions, so of which have taken him to remote areas of Papua New Guinea and Australia with his family and mates.

Stewart is a Director of Bozcrome Industries; manufacturer of expedition vehicles; a 40 year old family company based on the Gold Coast Australia.
